tax cut

debate over Bush’s tax cut for rich continues

I’m all for Bush’s tax cut for the rich people of America – which consists of approximately 5% of the population. We’re talking about the trickle down effect people; however, I believe it works in the opposite way. It is the general belief of those in favor of the tax cut that if the rich have more money, they will spend/invest more money, and this will circulate the economy, through the middle class, eventually down to the poor – hence, less poor people. However, I believe it works in another way. Without receiving this tax cut, rich people will become poor, creating a trickle down effect, resulting in more poor people. And I am sure Georgie Boy had this rationale too before he made the first tax cut in the history of America during wartime.
