GRAMMYS

Get past the green carpet? and Ryan Secrest (the most famous lesbian alive) and the first Grammy of the night is announced by real musicians Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder. This will possibly be the highlight of the night - the best music of the night as the two sing a Stevie song dedicated to New Orleans and the first lady of the civil rights movement. A good start. And the best female vocal (i think) award goes to Kelly Clarkson. This should be a crime.

Followed by a Cold Play performance. I had forgotten Madonna opened the show up - and Cold Play's performance is just as forgettable. Snap shots of McCartney and I can't help but think of other real musicians. Where is Jack White sitting? Can he perform? Snap shot of Sheryl Crow. Are you really going to let Mariah perform? Not a fan of Crow, but her music is would emancipate us from newfound sista Mariah. She sucks. She was my first CD. I was in like 2nd grade - as you can tell, I really knew my music then. Miss Mariah, tell me this, if you're emancipated, then why aren't you making the music you really want to. Emancipate? Lincolon wasn't a musician, but liked to throw that word around every now and then. And then (you know back then, like Civil War era, like around 1861-1865, or so, when black folks actually song to emancipate themselves). Before selecting a title, ask the little black kid WEBSTER the meaning. You're not emancipated. The audience should emancipate themselves from music like THAT, but it is entertaining to watch bad entertainment - isn't it?

Was the Bono-Mary J. Blige duet good? Or is it the thought of Clarkson and Madonna's music make anything that comes after good? No. I actually liked it. Was that a Marley cover?

Is Kanye going Michael Jackson on us?

Kelly is singing, the thought of crying is increasing for me. Where's Jesus on this one. He needs to regulate. Warren G - is Jesus a regulator you use to spit rhymes about. Kenny G - is Warren your son or dog or both?

UCONN-Syracuse game saves me - PEACE!

Timeout. Quick flip. There's Paul on stage. Pressure from the FAM "Back". Well that was a thrill.

Quick flip back to Grammys. Mariah's singing. Even quicker flip back to UCONN.

Teri Hatcher (these sunflower seeds suddenly taste much better); however, Teri might need some bags of seeds.

Kelly won again! Who is responsible for this musical anarchy?

Faith Hill - stop singing. Give Hugh a call.

Highlight - Bruce Springsteen - bring em home

The Snubbed: Black Rebel Motorcyle Club's album HOWL (should have been up for album of the year); John Butler Trio's album Sun Rise Over Sea (snubbed from album of year nomination too)...any other suggestions???

...it is not so much those who got snubbed that i have issue with; more so, those who got awards...i was taking a shit before i turned on the Grammys...i made some pretty amazing sounds...if only i had recorded them, I possibly could have been nominated...the harmony of the artist formely known as pop corn chicken and the plop sound when it hits water is certainly music to the ears and a smell to the nose that shall be given a Grammy in future years...
